Psychotherapy for Neurodivergence in California & New York

You feel deeply and strongly and become overwhelmed easily.

A rich inner world and connection to nature and art naturally exist in you.

Some may have accused you of being too sensitive but it is not something you can turn off. Nervousness and sadness may sometimes feel like your close companions. At times (or often times) you feel different from others. You may easily notice subtle details in the environment and you can pick up on what is both said and not said. Your friends may enjoy coming to you for advice because of your ability to sense what is unseen and your big heart. You enjoy socializing but after a few hours you may need down time to recharge from the stimulation. In general, down time is something you seem to need more than others.

You have a deep knowing that life would be easier if you learned to manage your emotions and relate to the world differently.

You desire to use your sensitivity as a strength instead of a barrier and start healing the anxiety and depression that has manifested in your life. You want to gain more confidence and trust yourself and your strengths. Creativity, passion, intuition, insight, and empathy come naturally to you and you strive to share these gifts with the world without self-doubt.

You Want To:

  • Identify your emotions and stop letting them control your actions and behavior.

  • Learn how to use your sensitivity as a strength instead of a barrier in your life.

  • Adapt your lifestyle to support your sensitivity and set yourself up for success in all aspects of your life.

  • Learn to not be so affected by other peoples moods and emotions.

  • Develop better self-care and boundaries so you can start protecting your energy.

  • Live harmoniously in the world and find your tribe.

As an HSP myself, I apply my personal experience and specialized training in assisting highly sensitive people in psychotherapy.

With my HSP clients, I help them learn to honor their sensitivity and learn how to identify, manage, and respond to their emotions more adaptively. Finding empowerment in your sensitivity instead of constant overwhelm and anxiety is possible. Receiving psycho education on sensitivity and the brain helps orient clients to the nature and needs of their nervous system. Learning more about the science of sensory processing sensitivity and how it manifests in one’s daily life gives clients the insight to recognize elements which further overwhelm their nervous systems.

My intention in therapy is to meet each client where they are at. Each client is unique and a natural desire exists within me to find what works for each client while offering my years of training and experience with neurodivergence. Society is starting to respect the presence of highly sensitive people.

You deserve to tap into your creativity, intuition, and empathy from an adaptive space so you can contribute what you were meant to offer to the world. The world needs more citizens and leaders who are conscious, compassionate, and connected.
